Why roller blinds

In today's modern homes where simple elegance is paramount, enhancing the clean lines and open spaces is what most people like. "Roller blinds are just the thing." With lots of large windows and sliding doors our clients like to keep the windows uncluttered. Because roller blinds wind up and take up virtually no window space you can maximize your outlook and minimize your investment in window coverings.

Many different styles of blinds.

When choosing roller blinds these days there are lots of Styles and fabrics to select from. You can choose what used to be called "Holland" blinds, and that is the basic chain driven blockout fabric roller blind. Still very popular today and requires the lowest investment. In fact this is probably the least expensive window covering on the market today.

If you prefer something a bit more upmarket we have lots of new fabrics in many textures and colours to enhance every decor. Linen looks, bold colours or neutral tonings etc. and all can be matched with a "Pelmet over the top to hide the roller and add to that custom look.

New trends in roller blinds.

Sunscreen rollers.

The latest trend in roller blinds is "Sunscreen" blinds and "Translucent" rollers. (see gallery). Sunscreen rollers have taken the market by storm. No longer do you have to have the old terylene or scrim curtains for privacy when the blinds are in the up position. The Sunscreen replaces these dusty curtains and rolls down to give complete privacy from onlookers outside. The bonus is you can see through it and clearly see out. These fabrics also stop up to 97% of ultraviolet rays.

Translucent rollers.

A decorators delight. Let your imagination go wild with these local and imported fabrics. They are light filtering but not blockout. Designed to filter light and give privacy, they come in stripes, many patterns and a beautiful range of decorator colours. Perfect for a feature on any window, they are especially popular for kitchens, bathrooms, and ensuites where something special will enhance any window.

Motorisation or Automation.

At Lauren's blinds we can "Motorize" your roller blinds for you. With state of the art "Radio Remote" controllers one button on a hand held or wall mounted remote control can operate up to 13 rollers either individually or all blinds simultaniously.

Compliment your blinds. Add a Pelmet or a Modern Sheer curtain on a "Decorator rod" over your blinds. Customize your look. We have a huge range of either Bonded fabric covered pelmets to add to your room and cover the roller on your blinds. if you prefer a softer look we can install a "Padded Pelmet" perhaps you may prefer a contrasting curtain fabric that enhances your decor or co-ordinates with the lounge suite.

Drapes as well.

Add an individual look to your home with some of our accessories. Perhaps a pair of co-ordinating Tie Backs for your drapes or a Box Pelmet over those blinds.
